Celebrating Our First CyberFirst Schools

Inspiring the Future of Cybersecurity

On Thursday 4th of July located in Bradford, we celebrated a significant milestone: the recognition of our first five CyberFirst schools in the Yorkshire and Humber region.

It was an honour to present awards to these outstanding schools:

🥇 Gold Awards:

·       Bingley Grammar School

·       Titus Salt School

🥈 Silver Awards:

·       Delta Academies Trust Hanson School

·       Beckfoot Thornton School

🥉 Bronze Award:

·       Belle Vue Girls' School

Meeting so many bright students and passionate teachers was an absolute pleasure. We look forward to supporting these schools in the coming years to achieve the following goals:

  • Encourage more students to take GCSE Computer Science: We aim to ignite a passion for computing and cybersecurity, ensuring that students see the value and excitement in pursuing these subjects.

  • Inspire more girls to take GCSE Computer Science: By highlighting the achievements of women in tech and providing role models, we hope to close the gender gap in the field of computer science.

  • Provide industry engagement and showcase career opportunities: Through continued collaboration with industry partners, we aim to give students a clear view of the career paths available in cybersecurity and related fields.
