CyberFirst Girls Competition Celebration Event: Inspiring the Next Generation

Girls Competition.jpeg

The CyberFirst Girls Competition Celebration Event on 12th March was a resounding success, showcasing the talent and enthusiasm of young women exploring careers in Cyber Security. The event featured an inspiring keynote from Anya Bridges of Bob’s Business followed by interactive workshops led by University of Bradford, Sheffield Hallam University Students, and the CyberFirst Team.

Girls enjoyed a lunch break with Pizza, and a pick-and-mix sweet selection before the day concluded with an awards ceremony, recognising the best-performing team, presented by Nik Kelsey from the CyberFirst Team and Dr Elaine Brown from the University of Bradford.

This NCSC initiative continues to empower young women by engaging them in problem-solving challenges designed to spark interest in Cyber Security careers. We were also fortunate to have several amazing female ambassadors and role models in attendance, including Anya Bridges, Hannah Wright, Seun Alabi and Yi Mon Aung who helped inspire the next generation.
