Yorkshire & Humber’s Cyber Stars: Beverley High School Takes Top Spot!
The results are in for the 2025 CyberFirst Girls Competition, and the region has a new set of cybersecurity champions! After an intense battle of logic, cryptography, and problem-solving, Beverley High School has claimed the victory for Yorkshire & the Humber.

Their team, Ctrl+Alt+Elite, outmanoeuvred the competition to take the top spot, leading a talented group of ten schools that showcased the incredible potential of young women in technology across the county.
The CyberFirst Girls Competition, run by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), aims to inspire girls aged 12-13 to pursue careers in cyber security—a sector where women are historically underrepresented. This year’s Yorkshire & Humber regional final demonstrated that the future of the industry is bright, with students tackling complex challenges involving AI, networking, and logic puzzles. While Beverley High School took home the regional trophy, the entire Top 10 roster represents the best and brightest rising stars in the region.
A huge congratulations to the top 10 winning teams who demonstrated exceptional teamwork and technical skill:
