Young Cyber Security Ambassadors (YCSA) Programme
In August, CyberFirst ambassadors and bursary students participated in supporting the Young Cyber Security Ambassadors (YCSA) Programme, which is sponsored by Amazon Web Services. The initiative offers opportunities for young people aged 12-17 to learn about cyber security and related subjects, gain experience by volunteering at police-led events, and promote messages concerning safe and lawful online behaviours (Cyber Choices). It also provides information and education to citizens and businesses on improving their cyber security to help reduce the risk of fraud and cyber crime.
Additionally, the programme aims to increase awareness among young people regarding various cyber and digital education options, internships, apprenticeships, and career pathways available post 16, working in collaboration with programme partners such as CyberFirst to facilitate such opportunities.
